St Idda (Iddaburg)

The pilgrimage church in St. Iddaburg is located where the old Toggenburg, the family seat of the Dukes of Toggenburg, stood in the Middle Ages. The tomb of St Idda is to be found in the church of the nearby Fischingen Monastery, where the saint lived as a recluse at the end of her life. The Feast of St Idda is celebrated on 3 November.
